Floyg Hall Arena gets a top 10 overall rating. It garners high scores in staff cooperation, cleanliness, bench area, and parking facilities. All A's and B's for FHA which sits on the campus of Montclair State University. It also is within a short walk of Yogi Berra Baseball Museum and The NJ Jackals Minor League baseball stadium. The rink has an excellent indoor second floor viewing area, two rinks, 8 locker rooms, an adequate pro shop, an arcade, and an improving snack bar. Ranked ninth overall. Nice rink! Survey comments.... Need colder temperature for the ice. Finish upgrading the rest of the locker rooms. Staff couldn't be any nicer or more accomodating. Everyone is friendly and always willing to help. Upgrading the rest of the locker rooms would be ideal. Turn on the lights! About half the lights were off this weekend. A good rink to go watch or play a hockey game. FHA is one of the cleaner, better run rinks in North Jersey. The staff is quite friendly, parking easily accessible, and the viewing lines quite good. Floyd Hall continues to be one of the top facilities in the state. Good location, busy arena. However, Sports Plus (pro shop) is poorly run with almost nobody that could sharpen a pencil, yet alone skates. Good rink, an older version of the ice vault Great snack bar and pro shop and spacious locker rooms Nice size locker rooms. Great upgrades on some. On the big rink, spectator seating is great and the experience a +++. On the smaller rink, it is really hard to watch. Wonderful staff. Nice locker room improvements.
