BSA has a long standing tradition of being a hub for central Jersey hockey. Some teams have migrated to ProTech but the Arena still hosts 2+ rinks and many travel and HS games. The rink gets A's for the large parking lot and also the on-site health and excercise facility as well as arcade and other fun stuff. Ice surface quality is down from the last survey as is grades for the food/snack bar and pro shop. There appears to be some good opportunities to increase customer satisfaction in the upcoming year. Survey comments... BSA can take it to the next level with improvements to team bench areas and better food service. This could be one of the better facilities in NJ with just a bit more work. Get new management and start rebuilding the place. Most importantly the facility management needs to be more reasonable with their major customers, as a parent who's son plays both travel and HS hockey they are always play one against the other. The travel team buys more ice than anyone else and they should get first shot at time selection and costs. They need to improve the rinks, the ice is bad all the time. Awesome Staff and workout room. BSA has made big improvements to rink lighting, boards, pro shop and locker rooms are in better shape. Ice reported as improving. It is in a very good location. Whole arena needs a major overhaul. Ice surfaces are unsafe. Best potential of any rink in NJ.
