Solid scores from Aspen Randolph although a bit down from our last survey. Rinks scores very well in Bench Area, Parking, and solid Pro Shop facility. Ice surface and cleanliness very strong as well. We find viewing to be much better than grade here. Overall...great rink. Survey comments... Always clean, wide common areas, great visibility for spectators. Attractive, clean building. Best Rink Around. Clean, as would be expected with a newer facility. Good for watching and playing. Great pro shop. Great pro shop, rinks are very clean. Great Rink all around. Ice surface kept extremly well nice and level, locker rooms and shower areas very clean, whole facilality very clean. Ice was horrible. It is a very enjoyable rink to visit. It is clean and the staff is very pleasant to be around. Locker room bathrooms are a disgrace - board of health should be called in. Ice is awful. Marc Ozga runs Aspen Ice like its his own. He keeps it clean and organized. Kudos to Marc. Nasty employees. Not friendly at all. Nice, new facility. They should treat their patrons better/nicer and befriend the community they are part of. They make out because they are the only game in that area and it is convienient, not because they run a good program of hockey development via the NJ Freeze. Rink facility is very well maintained. High standards still exist and the rink is about 5 years old. Snack bar has amazing brownies/cookies. Staff is Great !!! always willing to help . Well kept and clean. The staff is always on top of things in the rink. Always polite and helpful when needed. The Pro Shop is GREAT !!!!! if you need anything they have it in stock. There are many choices for viewing the ice, both inside and outside of the rink (window seats, corner seating areas, tiered seats, etc.). The fact that it is a "green" rink is a testament to Randolph's commitment to the environment. Very Clean,comfortable,nice viewing area,easy to find schedule,very cooperative staff. Very nice. Well-maintained but sterile building. Best rink around... Consistency of the quality of the ice surface could be improved. More often then not, the ice is not play ready for your slot. Get a new staff. Everyone who works there is pretty rude. Restock your pro shop with goalie equipment. Great rink - love it. Hire humans to run the place. Improve the ice, turn over the staff, clean the locker room bathrooms and showers. Nastiest thing I've ever seen. Letting too many of the good employees go! Need to up grade on food... No goalie equipment in the pro shop. The pro shop has taken a nosedive with the new owenrhip. Snack bar is weak. Snack bar ok could use more healthy foods. Staff is rude. Staff is not accomodating. The ice is not very good at this rink. The snack bar could offer more. It also seems to be closed at times when there are a lot of people around. Not sure what the hours are, but perhaps they could be extended? The thing about aspen is that it's nice and new and if you're just going there for a road game or 1 day it seems very nice. But once you're there everyday for practice the staff just becomes impossible. I dropped my skates off in the pro shop 40 minutes before practice and there was no one else there and the guy didn't even sharpen them, he did nothing for 30 minutes. They do a bad job with sharpenings anyway. And they don't let us stickhandle before our games which is very annoying.
